The Eastern Mediterranean from the 4th c. BC until late antiquity
Multidisciplinary PhD program run by the Institute of History, University of Wroclaw with the School of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology, University of Liverpool, financed by the European Union
Scholarship from 3000 PLN to 4500 PLN (ca. €750 to €1125).
Eight major research themes :
1. Achaemenid empire, Alexander the Great and aftermath
2. War and the Greeks
3. Eastern Mediterranean and the coming of Rome
4. Economy in the Hellenistic and Roman East
5. Politics, literature and imaging in Hellenistic and Roman period
6. Religion
7. Family and society in Sparta
8. Meals, luxury and society
